Hiking (Cycling)
The village of Petříkovice is located about 5 km from the town of Trutnov on the road towards Teplice Metují. The much sought after Adršpach-Teplice Rocks are 7 km away.
From Petříkovice leads a hiking and cycling trail to Poland, the border crossing is on the outskirts of Petříkovice, less than a kilometer from the guesthouse.
For cyclists looking for a bit more adrenaline experiences, the Trutnov Trails are nearby.
On the hills around Petříkovice there are border bunkers, built before the Second World War, some of which are now reconstructed, opened and become an interesting tourist attraction. A forest path leads directly from the guesthouse to one of them, 3 km away. The military fortification Stachelberg is also located near Žacléř. For fans of adrenaline sports, we recommend visiting the year-round bobsled track in Mladé Buky and the rope centre in Jánské Lázně.
For day trips we can also recommend the ZOO in Dvůr Králové, Kuks Castle, Náchod and Ratibořice (Babiččino údolí). Let’s not forget the Krkonoše Mountains and Sněžka, because Krakonošovo is almost just around the corner.
There are also many marked cycling trails in the vicinity of Petříkovice, for example, the circuit around the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks, the cycling trail to Poland and the circuit to Černá Hora with a boarding station on the cable car in Jánské Lázně.
In Trutnov you can go bowling, go to the cinema, swim in the indoor pool or skate at the ice rink.
Skiing
There is a popular ski resort Petříkovice with two 6-meter ski lifts and moderately demanding downhill tracks with a total length of about 2 km located about 600 m from the guesthouse. There is also a ski school with a children’s ski lift, ski equipment rental and refreshments. The opening hours of the ski resort are from 9.00 to 21.00 and it is equipped with snow cannons.
Nearby ski resorts include Radvanice, Žacléř, Mladé Buky and Jánské Lázně, which are located between eight and twenty kilometres away.
